The Genshagen Proposals on “Culture, Democracy, Civil Rights, and Copyright in the Age of Artificial Intelligence”

The Genshagen Cultural Policy Forum 2025 discussed key issues and challenges in dealing with AI technologies. The forum resulted in the adoption of the Genshagen Proposals, which provide important impetus for politics and society in Germany, France, Poland, and Europe and include a catalog of measures to shape the development and use of AI in line with European values, contain risks, and leverage its potential. It is undisputed that the protection of European values and cultural diversity requires common European solutions.
